According to the Chinese Zodiac, the Year of 2012 is the Year of the Dragon, which begins on January 23, 2012 and ends on February 9, 2013. The Dragon is the fifth sign of the Chinese Zodiac, which consists of 12 Animal signs. The Dragon is a creature of myth and legend. In ancient China, the celestial Dragon represents an emperor and power. Today, it is the ultimate auspicious symbol signifying success and happiness. May the celestial Dragon bring great good luck to everyone.

In Sung Dynasty (a Chinese imperial dynasty lasting from AD 960 – 1279) texts, the dragon is described as having the head of an ox, muzzle of a donkey, eyes of a shrimp, horns of a deer, body of a serpent covered with fish scales, and feet of a phoenix. The dragon usually clutches a pearl symbolic of its super-natural powers.
The Past Life reading can give insight into the very basic question of “Why am I here?” It can help to point out hidden talents, attitudes, and karma that the individual has brought into this lifetime. It can also gives clues as to what should be accomplished in this lifetime.
A modified Celtic Cross spread is used for this reading; only cards in Positions One through Six are laid out on the table. The positions and definitions of each position are outlined below.
SIGNIFICATOR:
This is the Major Arcana card chosen to represent the individual. It is symbolic of the Soul’s essence; it’s true being.

POSITION ONE
Covers the Significator. This card represents the individual’s current state of being.
POSITION TWO
Crosses Position One. This card represents the talents (and Karma) the individual has brought into this lifetime.
POSITION THREE
Is placed below Positions One and Two. This card represents the individual’s purpose for incarnation, his destiny.
POSITION FOUR
Is placed to the left of Positions One and Two, and represents the lessons of the most influential lifetime and their impact upon the current lifetime.
POSITION FIVE
Is placed above Positions One and Two and represents the individual’s future in this lifetime.
POSITION SIX
Is placed to the right of Positions One and Two and represents the next lifetime, if nothing changes the patterns laid down in the current life so far.
Tarot Spell To Attract Good Luck
This spell helps “set things up” around you. It adjusts the flow of events so that things start happening in your favor, and the world begins being a better place for you to live. In doing this spell with a tarot, you give a beneficient “push” to circumstance.

Cards Needed
The Star
The Wheel of Fortune
The World
Significator Card (of yourself)

This spell is a spell to charge a “good luck charm” most choose a coin to put the spell on put use what ever represents the kind of luck you are looking for (it could be a pen you are using to fill a job application out with).
Visualization is very important in most magic the will to empower your spells. After meditation this is the chant that I use….
I call the powers of good fortune. Fortune smiles upon me. With all the high and mystical powers through whom fortune shines, fortune and luck are with me. All who are around me prosper.

This is one of a series of Lo Scarabeo decks designed expressly for the American market, or so I would guess. In the instructions for the deck, instead of the usual note from Minetti or the artists, was one from Carl Weschcke, who happens to be the head of Llewellyn Worldwide.

Since buying Llewellyn in 1960, Weschcke has worked tirelessly to promote magic. He’s specifically marketed to teens & Latinos, hence the Spanish instructions with the deck. Since Minetti would have included notes in French, Italian & German as well, it would seem that Minetti has no interest in marketing this deck in Europe. This deck is presumably part of Weschcke’s Teen Witch project that dates from 1998. (Silver RavenWolf gets author credit for Teen Witch, but it’s clearly Weschcke’s project.) In the notes to this deck, Weschcke says, The Witchy Tarot is for the young at heart, new to the road of life.

So, what about teaching magic to teenage females, via books & tarot decks? I suppose, but it’s not the brightest thing I’ve heard of. Teenage females are beset with cliques, which are, essentially, covens in all but name. Many are nasty. Magic is a form of power. What Weschcke is selling is fairly dilute stuff, but teens are intense, magic, once accepted, is easily learned, the thrills & dangers of the magical deep end beckon brightly. With adult supervision, teens can learn magic as they can learn most anything else. Lacking adults, getting your magic from the books & tarot you find in the stores, along with what you get from your peers, can result in unfortunate situations. If it were up to me, I wouldn’t let teens take up magic, it’s just too damn dangerous.

The women shown in this deck, in true Lo Scarabeo / Italian fashion, have a beauty & sexiness about them, which contrasts with the slutty females pictured on Weschcke’s Teen Witch series. Neither representation has much in common with the people who will buy & use the deck or books, but that’s not important. We don’t buy products that look like us. We buy products that look like what we want to look like. One bright note: If this deck sells, there will be a book for it.

A final word, on the witch’s traditional cone shaped (dunce) hat: Cones & pyramids focus energy at a point about a third of the distance from base to peak, with a lesser, secondary point about the same distance below the base. (This can be demonstrated with a pyramid, razor blades & the male beard.) With the hat, the primary focal point hits the transpersonal chakra, located a few inches above the head. This chakra is dormant at this time, by which I mean that you will almost never feel or sense it in any way. The witch’s hat stimulates it, but I do not know what that might do to the transpersonal point or the witch herself. Energy introduced into the subtle body might also stimulate the crown & ajna chakras. It might increase general intelligence, it might promote visions. It might, on occasion, lead to sudden, startling downward rushes of energy into the head itself. As these hats are more often shown on women, it may be men have a different reaction to them. In no case will a witch’s hat make her spells better, but it should, eventually, make her better at casting them. Such hats are rarely worn in modern times, in public, at least, so I can only guess. I would be interested in hearing from those with practical experience.
The 18 sacred Futhork Runes as a true esoteric symbolism.
The Song of 0din, the Magical Poem, the graphical structure of the Runes, and of course individual experience of Rune masters, prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that the 18 Sacred Futhork Runes are a true esoteric symbolism.
They have a common base from which the symbols are derived: the hexagon with its three inscribed diameters. They are ordered by position as a linear symbolism or as an alphabet.
They are ordered in a plane as a two dimensional symbolism. In fact there are many possible arrangements of the symbols in a two dimensional mode, each one pointing to another facet of the symbolism.

They reach into dimensions beyond the material planes. Practice with them enhances thinking, psychic, and intuitive capabilities. As individual symbols, they have a number and symbolic and evocative sets of dimensions. The symbolism as a whole is greater than the mere sum of its constituent symbols.
The symbolism of the 18 Sacred Futhork Runes constitutes a set of mappings of specific characteristics not only in the material planes, but in the planes beyond, including the roots of those planes, the realms of creation. Practice of the symbolism will open up to you the specific natural laws of those realms of finer densities. As a result, your scientific thinking will be developed even so as to be capable of working with the realms of creation, and putting them to use.
The only limit is the vision of the magician. The magician who makes the better mathematical mappings is the better magician.
A strong and powerful deck. There is enough magic in the deck & book to get you into serious trouble and nothing to get you out of trouble once you get in. Remember that in all forms of magic, it’s easier to get into trouble & harder to get out of it than novices imagine. On the other hand, there’s nothing here that will kill you. As for the “real stuff”, there’s not a trace. If you want that (and you probably do, that’s why you’re reading this), you’ll still have to find a magician to initiate you. Here’s a useful hint: As long as you’re looking for him, he’ll avoid you. It’s not personal, it’s just the western version of “one hand clapping”.

The deck: There are the usual 22 major arkana, plus a Wild Card, shown above, which makes a total of 79 cards. Some card titles are given in Creole, which is distantly recognizable as French. Suits: Petro (fire/wands); Santeria (pentacles); Rada (air/swords); Congo (cups). Court cards are Houngan (king); Mambo (queen); La Place (prince/knight); and Hounsis (princess).

Remember that if you call spirits, those that appear will exactly reflect your moral purity and that, once present, will not be under your complete control. These two facts should give pause. Voodoo has long been strong in Haiti & there are related reasons why that country has always been a mess. But this deck is New Orleans voodoo, not Haitian nor west African.
Veda is a Sanskrit word which means ‘knowledge’.’Vedic’ means ‘of the knowledge’. This word was usedin ancient India to describe the original culture, the original knowledge given to humans at the beginningof creation. It was passed down orally since the timeof creation, then eventually in written form to the present. ‘Vedic’ refers to original knowledge given by God to humankind.
Vedic Astrology comes from the Vedic scriptures of ancient India. The centerpiece book on Vedic Astrology is the Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra. Thisis the great scripture on astrology by Sage Parashara.

Vedic Astrology is based on twelve Rashis (Zodiac sign) twelve Bhavas (Houses) nine grahas (Planets) and twenty seven Nakstras (Distant stars). An important addition to Vedic Astrology is the distant stars. There are twenty seven distant stars, or Nakshatras used. Because the stars are eminent, transcendent forces not in our solar system, the Indian astrologer looks to the Nakshatras to see the soul nature and the deeper cosmic meaning operating behind the planets. Each of these Nakshatras is related to a different deity.
